There are lots of different venues in Cheltenham to hire for parties and after 2 years going to birthday parties every weekend, it feels like we have seen most of them…. I have tried to list spaces for all kinds of parties below to give you a good starting point for finding the right venue for you. Christenings/ First Birthdays-
Baby Journey HQ– Based in Fairview, the venue is home to The Baby Journey team who offer Antenatal classes and postnatal meets for mums to meet with midwifes, weigh babies and chat with other mums. Its a great neutral space, they have 2 rooms to hire at £12.50 per hour and they can also provide tea/coffee. The venue has 2 on site parking spaces and parking on street is easy. Catering is up to individuals, and they have previously had soft play
Christchurch, Malvern Road is a large building with a number of spaces available. The Lansdown and Bayshill room holds 40 seated so is a nice space for a smaller group and there is a fullly equipped kitchen available.
The Strand and The Exmouth– both run by the same company. The Strand is close to the town centre with parking available at St James st car park across the road and the Exmouth is on Bath Road with a small car park and nearby public car park. Both venues are a nice size for small groups and obviously based within the pub, have an extensive option for food and drink.
Best Hall hires for School aged Parties
My very most favourite of all the halls has to be St Lukes Hall. A large hall with funky lighting system and bluetooth speaker system, accessible throughout and with a very functional kitchen. Its a great space for a bouncy castle or disco, along with some tables for food and some party extras from Party Plate Hire Cheltenham!
The Reddings is a fantastic hall with outdoor space and a choice of two halls again fully accessible, large car park and fully equipped kitchen.
Stoke Orchard have a large airy hall, again with a great kitchen, fully accessible and with car parking. Its a great space for lots of children to run around!
Swindon Village hall is a bit further out, but again boasts all of the above. The hall has a choice of three spaces for hire holding either 120, 40 or 20 so plenty of space regardless of the size of group you are looking for. Ample car parking and a patio overlooking the park make this a good choice.
Bishops Cleeve Tithe Barn is a very popular venue for weddings which can make hiring for weekends a bit more limited but it is a lovely setting with oak beamed roof and a maple sprung dance floor. The hall upstairs is reached by stairs or by lift and can accomodate up to 150. The hall also have a few smaller rooms if you are looking for a more intimate space.
Gotherington Village hall is worth a mention, although further out from cheltenham, it has a very reasonable hire price of £11 per hour, can hold up to 120 and has kitchen and car parking.
There are of course, many other halls in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire for hire and there is a venue to suit every occasion and budget. Most can accommodate Bouncy Castles, and Disco set ups and if you are looking for some extra entertainment options to keep them busy (30 Kids on a bouncy castles gets a bit rowdy!) then have a look to see what extra options we can supply!
